Driver-Programmer:
The Driver-Programmer is the market leader in providing flexibility and convenience to the customer. The customer is capable of saving both time and resources by being able to flash their ECU through the OBDII Port in their own driveway!
For customers that are not local to an Authorized Driver Motorsport Distributor, the Driver-Programmer is our solution.
How it works:
To be eligible for the Driver-Programmer option, the customer should not be within reasonable driving distance of an authorized Distributor. We consider a Driver Motorsport Distributor being within 35 miles of your zip code as reasonable driving distance**. For our customers that are eligible to utilize the Driver-Programmer they must purchase the Driver Motorsport ‘Loaded Driver-Programmer’ option when checking out of our online store. After meeting the criteria and purchasing the Driver-Programmer, the next few steps after the customer receives the programmer are as follows;
- Customer reads their ECU with the Driver-Programmer. The customer will be supplied with operating instructions after purchase or they can download these operating instructions directly *here* [Hyperlink to download Programmer Instructions off of website].
- Customer will take this file they read from their ECU and email it to sales@drivermotorsport.com. To complete this step, it is a requirement that the ‘ECU File Request Form’ is filled out. This allows us to accurately provide the customer with the software that they desire. The ECU File Request Form can be downloaded directly *here* [Hyperlink to download ECU File Request Form].
- Customer will flash their vehicle with the file(s) they have received from Driver Motorsport.
Upgrading Software:
The Driver-Programmer makes the process of upgrading software easier than ever. If a customer purchases Stage 1 software, they can get their free upgrade to Stage 2 or Stage 2+ without having to leave their driveway!
If a K04 turbo upgrade is installed, once the $100.00 upgrade fee is paid an email is sent with the K04 software upgrade. This means the customer has the ability to install their turbo and flash their car all at the same time.
